EGE t-shirt transfer workshop

Howdy, Bonjor, Hola, Γειά, Здравствуйте and Hi. I’m Elliott E and this Monday I ran a T-shirt transfer workshop. I invited some of my friends to the workshop to make their own t-shirts. I decided to run a transfer workshop because I have done t-shirt transfers before for myself and one of my previous transfers helped me win a school fete in 2004 so I was pretty sure and confident that I could use these skills to run a transfer workshop.

By doing this workshop I wanted to learn how to plan the time and the date, lay out everything that we needed, check that the the computer programs  and the equipment was all working OK. The day before I made my own t-shirt using the same programs, equipment and materials just to check that it was all working OK for the following day.

I wanted to achieve  a sucsessful workshop, I wanted people to enjoy it and I wanted to enjoy it myself. I wanted to pass on my skills to the others and I wanted them to have T-shirts they would be proud to wear.

I wanted to prove to myself that I can inprove on my Bronze Award leadership.

I invited some of my friends to take part in my workshop by telephone and when I thought I had enough people then I phoned them back to arrange a date and time. I then e-mailed everyone with all the details.

My friends listened to the explanations and they understood everything they had to do and I helped them.

I had feedback forms which my friends and their parents filled in after the workshop. They say that they loved the workshop, they loved their T-shirts and they thought I was a good leader for this workshop!

I’m glad they enjoyed the workshop as much as I did and they enjoy wearing their t-shirts!

Swan Lake

Hello Me Elliott E here again.

As part of my Silver Arts Award I went to the Birmingham Royal Ballet production of Swan Lake.

It was a brilliant show and the special FX where brilliant too! Especially the scene where the cygnets appear out of the mist on the lake. The dancing and the costumes were wonderfull.

Before the show we did a ballet workshop. Yes OK fellow boys out there. I know what you’re thinking but it was good fun! :)

We did Act II: The lakeside by moonlight. First we played the part of the swans then me and the rest of the boys went off to be the princes. Then we met the Queen of the swans and we devoted our love to her! ;)

 Then we watched the show.

Thankyou for reading my blog and please look at the rest of my website.

THANKYOU :)

Big Foot the movie 2 is up on the web!

Hello EGEmedia viewers. Elliott E here with some exiting news!

My recent Big Foot movie in now on the EGEmedia website home page! :)

This is for my Silver Arts Award Challenge. Enjoy the movie and please tell me what you think.

Hamlet

Hello. Me Elliott E here again!

Today I went to see a production of Hamlet by Shakespeare 4 kidz.

Hamlet was played by Paul Parris and he was really funny! The best bit was when Hamlet pretends to go mad. I myself think he was a bit more crazy than mad. To be mad or not to be mad… That is the Question!

I think it was really funny and Shakespeare 4 kidz should go to perform all over Britain.

It was funny :) but quite sad :( !

Still it was really good and if you see a Shakespeare 4 Kidz where you are you shoud go and see it.

Talking of which the Shakespeare 4 Kidz productions of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and MACBETH are available now on DVD and VIDEO.

Hamlet is by William Shakespeare and Acted out by the people from Shakespeare 4 Kidz.

Big Foot the movie 2

Hello there. Elliott E here.

Two days ago I went to my Movie making workshop and I finished my BIG FOOT the movie 2!

It’s my best animation ever and I hope to get it on the web soon! It is part of my Silver Arts Award! It was lots of fun to make and I love the sound FX.

It’s half term!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay it’s half tern and I’m Elliott E.

Two days ago me my mom and dad where working in the garden. Dad was cutting the tree back, I was pulling the big trunks around the garden. There was one big one which went over the fence into the side lane next to our house and I had to drag it up a lane, pull it up our drive then it was too big to lift over the small wall or pull though the gate so me and dad had to cut it up into more reasonable sizes. My dad took the trunk part down to the bottom of our garden and I got my bike and a rope tide the rope to the bike and the wood and cycled down the hill to the bottom of the garden where mom was cutting up the wood into small chunks! The next day me and a friend called Alice went to Birmingham so see the new CBSO famaly concert all about magic. The show was called… well… MAGIC! It was Alice’s 1st time on a electric train and her 1st time on a train in 4 years! It was also her 1st trip to Birmingham, to the CBSO and the 1st time she’s seen a live orchestra! Alice go’es to school unlike me and for anyone new on my site I am home educated. My 1st school was closed down for loss of people. There where 11 people at the school (and that’s including the staff)! I went to Alice’s school but because there where about 20 people in each class (Not including the staff!) it was a bit different than my old 3 in a class (Including me) feeling.

Today we continued on the Garden! By now we had made a pile of wood about two meters high and four meters weighed! Where thinking of geting a wood burner in our living room insted of our gass one becaurse we have all this wood so why bern in for know reson apart to get rid of the stuff? That or we will just save it up four bonfire night.

I don’t know what do you think… use the wood to worm up the house or use it for bonfire night? Help by commenting below…

See you soon!

Planets at the CBSO

Hello there EGE viewers, here I am with more news about my SILVER ARTS AWARD.

Today I went to Birmingham to watch a CBSO “City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra” concert of the Planets. My last post had all about Holst and the Planets. Pluto wasn’t on the Planets by Holst because no one back then knew that Pluto was up there in space. Later a man who I don’t now the name of made the tune to Pluto to finish the Planets!

If you know the name of the mystery man of Pluto, I’ve nicknamed him P.G standing for “Pluto Guy” please comment below↓

For more Information about Holst go to www.gustavholst.info or more info on the CBSO go to www.cbso.co.uk

The Planets and Gustav Holst

Hello Elliott E here.

Yesterday me and some friends went to a music workshop and we learnt all about the orchestra and the different types of instruments. We went there to learn about Holst and the Planets his best known composition.

Mark came to work with us. He is a cellist with the CBSO. The cello is like a big violin with an aerial (Sorry you had to be there to get the joke!) He was great fun and a very good teacher. We made fantastic music together.

Gustav Holst was born in Cheltenham in 1874 into a musical family. He went to study piano and composition at the Royal College of music in London but was not able to pursue a career as a pianist as he had a continual problem with his right hand. He had a meagre living playing the trombone, composing in his free time and eventually was offered various teaching posts. The most notable of these was the Royal Collage of Music, St Paul’s Girl’s School and Morley Collage. Later, he travelled around the world conducting and recording his own works. He died in 1934 at the age of 59.

If you wish to find out more about Gustav Holst go to www.gustavholst.info

The Planets is a concert about the… well planets, The names of the suites are…

1.  Mars: the bringer of war

2.  Venus: the bringer of peace

3.  Mercury: the winged messenger

4.  Jupiter: the bringer of jollity

5.  Saturn: the bringer of old age

6.  Uranus: the magician

7.  Neptune: the mystic

My friends and I made the 8th tune. We started thinking about what was beyond the tune of Neptune. So we had The Comets, Alien Life, Black Holes, Stars, Planets, moons, milky way (and that’s not the chocolate bar), Pulstars, asteroids, dark matter and the EmPtInEsS oF sPaCe!!!!… The end tune was brilliant but know-one thought of the planet Pluto!?…

It was lots of fun and I hope we do it again soon. If you get the chance make music, it’s fun!
